    Emergency crews tackle apartment fire in Evansville

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Emergency crews are responding to an apartment fire in Evansville.

    Dispatch tells us the initial call came in at 11:17 a.m. about a fire at The Crossings Apartments on the 400 block of Cross Valley Circle.

    We’re told the fire started on an apartment patio which extended indoors and the roof of the unit.

    It is said there was one person and a cat inside at the time but have evacuated without sustaining any injuries.

    The cause of the fire is till under investigation.
