HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Madisonville Police arrested a woman after authorities say she promoted the trafficking of a 12-year-old victim engaging in commercial sexual activity.

According to a citation, Cheyenne Burge, 18, enticed, harbored, provided for, advertised and received benefit or something of value from the human trafficking of the juvenile. Police say Burge also admitted to using methamphetamine with the same victim on at least three occasions over the last month. During a search of a home where Burge was staying, authorities say they found a bag of marijuana.

Burge was arrested on Monday and charged with promoting human trafficking where the victim is under 18-years-old, unlawful transaction with a minor and possession of marijuana. She is being held without bond.
