Crews called to scene of apartment fire on Covert Avenue

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- Evansville Fire Crews were called to an apartment fire in the 1100 block of Covert Avenue early this morning.

The fire reportedly happened around 3:30 a.m. and when crews arrived, they say there was fire coming from the second floor of the complex. The fire took about 30 minutes to put out, and there is no word of any injuries at this time.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
