HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Madisonville Police have arrested a woman after she allegedly provided methamphetamine to a 12-year-old multiple times over the previous month.

According to police, Florence Carner, 19, and her child under the age of 2-years-old tested positive for drugs during an investigation. In an interview, Carner denied knowing how the child came into contact with methamphetamine, but police say she admitted that the house she and the child lived at was frequented by drug users.

Police also determined that Carner provided methamphetamine to a 12-year-old 3-4 times in the last month. Authorities confirmed to Eyewitness News that this was the same 12-year-old that was reported as the victim of human trafficking, leading to the arrest of Cheyenne Burge.
