US 41 back open after SUV flips into ditch

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – US 41 in Henderson is back open after an SUV flipped into a ditch in the 2000 block of US 41 North near Barrett Blvd.

Officials say it involved a vehicle and a semi where the vehicle flipped upside down in a ditch. Officials at the scene said a blue Toyota Highlander was attempting to turn north on US 41 when it hit the back tire of the semi going northbound, causing the SUV to go off road and into the ditch.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital.

Traffic was backing up as it approached the scene.
