HENDERSON Ky. (WEHT) – A key witness in former EVSC School Board member Amy Word’s trial was sentenced on Thursday.

Demario Holman was sentenced to 182 days in prison. Last month, he accepted a plea agreement .

Holman was arrested in 2022, following an investigation into drug trafficking along Franklin Street in Evansville, including at Lamasco Bar and Grill, which was owned by Amy Word at the time. Holman testified during Word’s trial in June that he sold drugs to numerous patrons and employees at Lamasco, including Word. Word was found guilty of maintaining a common nuisance.
