Anonymous tip leads to arrest and seizure of over 70 grams of illegal drugs

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – An anonymous tip helped Dubois County authorities arrest a Jasper man and seize over 70 grams of illegal drugs.

According to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics detectives received information through the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office mobile app tip line of a male possessing meth, psychedelic mushrooms, marijuana and firearms on Friday, September 6. On Tuesday, detectives went to the residence of Joshua Norman.

Officials state detectives knocked on the front door and smelled raw marijuana coming from inside. After no answer, they walked to the back door where officials say they could smell raw marijuana from the exhaust of a window AC unit.

Officials say Norman arrived home and after getting a search warrant, the warrant was executed. During the search, detectives reportedly found 4.3 grams of meth, 15.3 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 52.5 grams of marijuana, miscellaneous items containing THC, multiple items of paraphernalia and several firearms.

Norman was taken into custody and booked into the Dubois County Security Center where he is being held on a $2,500 bond.
