EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Business leaders around Evansville gathered inside Ford Center for the fourth annual Evansville Regional Economic Partnership meeting and dinner.

E-REP takes the opportunity to celebrate regional success and look ahead towards opportunities for growth.

The keynote speaker for the event was the president and chief operating officer of the Indiana Fever Dr. Allison Barber

Dr. Barber has traveled all around the state but says Evansville is one of her favorite stops.

“I’m a big fan of Evansville, I love the leadership here, the community, the hard work, and just watching it evolve into this really really important part of our state,” says Barber.

E-REP hopes to continue the momentum capitalizing on new funding like the $45 million REDI 2.0 plan to create growth like new jobs and housing in the area. Something barber says is exciting.

“Evansville has its own culture. It’s this wonderful blend of the old and the new and the future. That’s what we talked about tonight. Watching all of that come together to advance society in a really collaborative way is exciting,” said Barber.
