Large power outage reported in Owensboro

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Owensboro Police are reporting that there is a large power outage in the area of Frederica Street and W. Byers Avenue.

OPD states the outage is affecting multiple traffic lights, businesses and homes. It has also been reported that the traffic light at JR Miller Blvd. and W. Byers is out.

OPD says Owensboro Municipal Utilites has responded and hopes to have power restored soon.

In the meantime, officials say if one comes to an intersection with all traffic lights out, treat it as a four-way stop.
