HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday after he was quickly convicted of dealing methamphetamine last month.

Detectives say they spotted Cedric Gibson in May while they were on patrol, and discovered he had active felony warrants. Authorities say Gibson ran off, but was eventually caught by a K9 officer.

Authorities say he had several bags of methamphetamine on him at the time, and nearly $2,000 in cash.
