    Daviess County Animal Control hosts adoption special

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Ahead of the new Pups in the Park event, Daviess County Animal Shelter is offering an adoption special.

    Detectives investigate deadly Owensboro shooting

    During the adoption special which runs through September 20, adult dogs and cats may be adopted for no fee at the animal shelter on Highway 81. For puppies and kittens, a reduced adoption fee of $25 will be in effect. All pets will be spayed and neutered, microchipped and will be up-to-date on vaccines.

    Pups in the Park will then be held on September 21 and 22 at Panther Creek Park. During the event there will a canine aquatics competition, three American Kennel Club sanctioned events, trainer demonstrations, a microchip clinic, a temporary dog park, splash pad, kids activities and food trucks.
