Accident in Daviess County sends a truck through a home

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is at the scene of an accident with injuries in the 4400 block of KY 1514 where a truck has slammed into a home.

Authorities say the vehicle also stuck utility poles in this accident. No one was reportedly inside the residence at the time of the accident.

Eyewitness News gets a look inside the home where the truck has entered in what appears to be a living room, partially collapsing the wall and perching on a couch.

Sheriff Brad Youngman said the driver was an 86-year-old man who possibly had a medical condition. A witness told authorities she heard tires screeching, and then saw the truck run off the roadway and hit the pole and house.

DCSO says the roadway will remain closed for an unknown amount of time, and several power lines will need to be replaced.
