Juvenile killed in Madisonville crash

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Madisonville Police Officers say that an accident with injuries happened just before 9:00 p.m. on Monday in the 4100 block of Nebo Road. When officers arrived on the scene, they observed one vehicle, a white Chevrolet Sonic, on the roadway and another, a white Ford Focus, in the ditch on the northside of the roadway.

According to a police report, the Chevrolet Sonic was traveling northbound when it crossed the center line and struck the Ford Focus. The passengers in the Ford Focus required mechanical extrication, which was performed by the Madisonville Fire Department. The operator and a passenger of the Ford Focus were transported to a local hospital for their injuries.

The operator and a juvenile passenger of the Chevrolet Sonic were also transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The juvenile passenger was later pronounced deceased.
