HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Eyewitness News has learned the identity of a person that died in a house fire last month in Providence.

Webster County Coroner Darin Townsend said the identity of the person was Richard Parsley. Townsend also said a cause and manner of death has not been announced at this time.

Providence Fire Chief Cameron Brown states at about 2:27 a.m. on August 25, Providence 911 Dispatch received a call reporting a fully involved structure fire in the 200 block of Oaklawn Drive.

Brown states teams confirmed the structure was fully engulfed and suffered significant collapse. Brown says a 72-year-old that was identified as Parsley was found dead inside the home.

Brown also says the State Fire Marshal ruled the cause as undetermined, and Kentucky State Police found no evidence of foul play.
