HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — An Evansville man is charged with disorderly conduct and possession of methamphetamine after police say he was “flailing around” a street with no shirt or shoes.

According to police records, a caller says Joshua Strode did not belong in the area and was allegedly wandering the 1600 block of Harding Avenue “flailing all around” without a shirt or shoes.

Officers say they determined Strode was intoxicated on narcotics as it appeared consistent with methamphetamine. They say Strode was twitching his hands and body and could not control it. Strode claimed he was not screaming even though witnesses and police say he was.

Upon a search of Strode, police found a syringe in his pocket and a clear baggie with a white rock-like substance which tested positive for methamphetamine.

After being taken into custody, Strode allegedly threatened to break the handcuffs to harm officers, which led to an intimidation charge.

Strode was booked in the Vanderburgh County Jail and charged with intimidation, possession of methamphetamine, possession of syringe, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
