Mother of infant injured by over 50 rat bites takes plea deal

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Angel Schonabaum, the mother of a 6-month-old infant that was severely injured by over 50 rat bites last year has reportedly entered into a plea agreement.

Schonabaum entered the agreement on Tuesday. Details of the agreement have not yet been released, she faces sentencing on September 30.

The baby’s father, David Schonabaum , was found guilty earlier this month, and is scheduled to be sentenced in October. The aunt of the infant, Delaina Thurman , was sentenced to two years probation.
