OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — Nine Tri-State organizations come together to provide a chance for those with disabilities to showcase their special skills.

The Opportunity Center of Owensboro hosted its “We’ve Got Talent, Too” show on Wednesday.

The organization, along with Puzzle Pieces, Active Day and To The Max came together with the mission to empower those with disabilities to showcase their individual talents.

Officials say the event allows the showcasing of talents in the community that are often overlooked.

“Our people love to get on stage and shine,” says Program Manager Amanda Alexander. “They are loving that everyone is clapping for them and so many people have shown up for those people specifically.”

44 people performed and over two dozen acts with skills to singing, dancing, acting and even comedy.
