Where to buy deer licenses in southwestern Indiana

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) reports deer hunting season for southwestern Indiana is coming up soon, and some places are ready to sell hunting licenses.

The 2024-2025 deer hunting seasons are as follows:

• Reduction Zone : September 15, 2024 through January 31, 2025, where open
• Youth Season : September 28 through 29, 2024
• Archery : October 1, 2024 through January 5, 2025
• Firearm : November 16 through December 1, 2024
• Muzzleloader : December 7 through 22, 2024

Officials note a resident youth hunt/trap, deer hunting or comprehensive lifetime hunting license is required to hunt for deer unless the hunter meets one of the license exemptions. All deer harvested in Indiana must be reported within 48 hours of the time of harvest at an on-site check station, online, through an Indiana Fish and Wildlife Account or by phone at 1-800-419-1326.
