    Man found guilty in Evansville murder trial

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The jury in the murder trial of Zachary Diaz has reached a verdict of guilty on the count of reckless homicide.

    Diaz is charged with murder after allegedly shooting Derrick Dye Jr. outside of Ponytails Lounge. Officers say they were dispatched the 1200 block of east Columbia Street in February for reports of shots fired outside of the strip club. Officers found Dye Jr. with a single gunshot wound and had him transported to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

    Sentencing is scheduled for October 18 at 2 p.m..
