‘A stupid decision’: Evansville man accused of molesting a 5-year-old juvenile

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — An Evansville man has been accused of child molesting after allegedly touching a 5-year-old juvenile inappropriately.

According to an affidavit from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, a forensic interview was conducted with the juvenile and they recounted the areas on their body Carl Olson IV allegedly touched them.

During an interview with Olson, he claimed a past allegation had been made against him about touching the same juvenile however he says those charged were dismissed.

Authorities told Olson he had the “opportunity to make this right,” and he eventually explained the details of the alleged inappropriate touching.

When asked what made him do this, Olson says he just made “a stupid decision.”

Olson was charged with Child Molesting and booked in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
