HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Major League Baseball legend, Pete Rose has died at 83.

Baseball’s all-time hits king was a home grown Cincinnati Reds player who became a national superstar with an exciting new brand of baseball.

A 17-time all-star, a three-time world series champion including the 1975 and 1976 Reds. Rose still and will probably forever hold the record for most hits with 4,256.

The 1963 Rookie of the Year became the Reds player manager in the mid-1980’s before his career came to an unceremonious end with Rose accused of betting on baseball. He was eventually banned for life and to this day, has not been inducted into Baseball’s Hall of Fame.
