Body recovered at Newburgh Lock and Dam

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Indiana State Police (ISP) says it was the body of a man who was pulled from the river.

Troopers expect to have the identity of the man determined sometime Tuesday. An autopsy has been scheduled.

ISP tell Eyewitness News no foul play is suspected.

Officials have not released further information at this time.

Dispatch has confirmed that crews are responding to reports of a person found near the Newburgh Lock and Dam on Monday.

Our crew at the scene has spotted emergency crews out on the water, but it is not yet confirmed if anyone has been removed from the river. We will provide updates as new information is made available.
