EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — We all know there are plenty of food options out here at the Fall Festival, but if fried food isn’t your style, there are other options for you. There are a few booths making sure there is something for everyone.

Thousands of people are on Franklin Street walking, going on fair rides and of course enjoying all the food booths.

There are a ton of deep fried options but there are also healthy options available as well.

The Deaconess Wise Choice Initiative is helping those who need an alternative to fried food, still be included in the festival.

18 booths are offering 30 wise options like fajita chicken salads, shaved sugar-free Hawaiian ice and frozen red grapes to name a few.

There options are all 500 calories and 5 grams or less of sodium.

“A lot of these foods are still going to be just as tasty, just a little bit better for you,” says Bosse Instrumental Boosters Chairman Crystal Sisson. “You can indulge a little bit more as you choose more healthy choices.”

Deaconess Wise Choice will have options for you if you don’t want to have a deep-fried Oreo with every single meal you enjoy at the festival.

All the options Deaconess Wise Choice has to offer can be seen on their page.
