WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — Indiana State Police investigate the fatal crash near the Warrick-Gibson county line that killed one driver .

Authorities say this was a two-vehicle crash between a semi and a GMC Terrain on the I-69 northbound exit ramp at SR 68.

Their investigation reveals the driver of the semi, Aziz Ermatov, was traveling northbound on I-69 and exited the interstate on SR 68.

Troopers say for “unknown reasons,” Ermatov disregarded the stop sign at SR 68 and collided with the GMC Terrain that was traveling west.

It is said both vehicles caught fire after impact and the driver of the GMC Terrain was pronounced dead at the scene, while Ermatov was left uninjured.

The identity of the deceased has yet to be identified, pending family notification.

    This is an ongoing investigation.
