EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — For years, University of Southern Indiana’s Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity had a booth at the Fall Festival. This year there is no booth in site with their name on it.

USI says the fraternity chapter was placed on suspension following an investigation into “significant member misconduct.”

For the duration of this suspension, all USI TKE chapter meetings, new member and recruitment activities, social events and philanthropic activities must cease.

This includes the Fall Festival which falls under their philanthropic activities.

The university says the decision was made in the best interest of the health, safety and well-beings of the students.

The chapter will remain on suspension until February 2025 when they will be eligible to apply for reinstatement as a recognized student organization.
