Evansville man convicted of attempted manslaughter

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man was found guilty of attempted manslaughter in connection to a stabbing that took place on East Chandler Avenue last year.

Police say Remel Byrd stabbed a man five times following an argument in December. During his trial, his defense moved for a mistrial, but the request was denied by the court.

His sentencing is scheduled for October 30.
