HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Bosse Field will once again be home to high school football for the first time in 13 years next Friday night, October 18.

Officials state Memorial and Castle High schools will take part in the game as part of Memorial’s “100-Year Series”.

The game will kick off at 7 p.m. and will be Senior Night for both schools.

Officials also state a preview night will be held on Thursday, October 17 from 4 to 6 p.m., offering the public a sneak peek of the field transformation. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the evening will transition into a celebratory atmosphere with food and beverages.

Tickets will be available at $28 for the preview, and participation is limited to guests 21 and over due to cash bar.

Officials say Friday’s event will feature Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry and both teams will be sporting their throwback jerseys. Memorial will wear their green uniforms celebrating their Holy Cross and Notre Dame ties while Castle will bring back their 1982 state championship look.

Officials also say Bosse Field’s concession stands will feature a special themed item for the event called “The Eastsider,” a creation with a glazed donut bun, sausage patty, American cheese and a maple mayo sauce.

“Bosse Field is more than a sports venue, it’s a part of Evansville’s history,” said Memorial Athletics Director Chad Dockery. “This game is a celebration of the past, the present, and the community, bringing football back to a place that has hosted over 500 high school games since 1915.”

Tickets are priced at $10 and can be purchased through either school’s website, at the Bosse Field box office or by clicking here .
