Man runs from EPD, boards LST 325 to get away

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A man tried to run from Evansville Police and get away via the LST 325.

Chris Donahue tells Eyewitness News that police were chasing a man from Bally’s at about 8:30 a.m. where the man crossed Riverside Drive and scaled the gate at the LST 325 site, gaining access.

Donahue says an employee let EPD access where the man was arrested after climbing three levels up to the top of the ship.

Sgt. Trudy Day says the person was acting erratic and when officers tried to check on the situation, he ran.

Day also says the man was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. He was charged with resisting arrest, trespassing and public intoxication.
