Illinois State Police investigate deadly officer involved shooting in Mt. Carmel

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Illinois State Police officials have confirmed to Eyewitness News that an investigation into an officer involved shooting has been requested by the Mount Carmel Police Department.

The Mount Carmel Police Department confirmed with Eyewitness News that the shooting happened at approximately 9 p.m. near Lambert Drive. One person was killed in the shooting, and no officers were reported injured.
