Over 10,000 lbs. of hurricane relief collected by Scott Township Firefighters

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The Scott Township Fire Department has collected and delivered six trailer-loads containing over 10,000 lbs. of relief supplies in less than 10 days.

The Fire Department took to Facebook to express their thanks to the community for donating supplies.

Firefighters say they collected hundreds of boxes of diapers, wipes, bottles and three full pallets of baby formula. They say a full semi of individually donated supplies went to the collection center at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee.

Officials say these donations will help people in Tennessee and North Carolina.
