HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Residents in Daviess County will now have the option to pay county property and tangible tax bills online this fall.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says this addition comes after a year of research and planning, and beginning in early November 2024, tax bills will be available to view and pay online at DCSOKY.gov, where customers can pay by card or electronic check.

Officials also say paper bills will still be mailed the first week of November to every customer and will include a QR code on the bill to assist.

Officials explain when a customer goes to the sheriff’s office website, there will be a place on the homepage to click on to pay taxes. That will redirect the customer to a page operated by GUTS where they can look up and pay their bill.

“I am excited to roll out this new capability this year. Captain Coomes has done a great job on this. Online tax payments were one of my biggest priorities when I became Sheriff, and I am very pleased we can now offer this to Daviess Countians. By doing so, we are modernizing our operations while also offering added convenience,” Sheriff Brad Youngman said.

The 2024 tax collection schedule will run as follows:

    • November 10th through December 10th: 2% discount
    • December 11th through January 10th: base amount (no discount/no penalty)
    • January 11th through February 10th: 5% penalty
    • February 11th through April 25th: 21% penalty
