    Memorial Hospital announces nationwide IV fluid shortage

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Officials with Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center say due to recent Hurricane Helene damage, there is a nationwide shortage of IV fluids impacting health systems across the country.

    Officials with Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center say in response to this shortage, Memorial Hospital is implementing “proactive conservation efforts aligned with best clinical practices.” Officials say these efforts allow them to continue to “offer the highest level of patient care” while maintaining supplies for incoming patients.

    Memorial Hospital says it is closely monitoring the situation and is working diligently with suppliers to secure necessary IV products.

    Heart of Jasper’s Shop and Sip to be held Wednesday

    A spokesperson says, “Our skilled staff and providers are trained to handle these challenges and continue to provide the highest level of patient care with no disruptions at this time.”

    Memorial Hospital says it will provide updates if this situation changes. The hospital is located at 800 West 9th Street in Jasper.
