HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The Dream Riders of Kentucky, Inc. has announced one of their founders, Mike Clark, has passed away in a message on social media.

The organization was founded in 2003 following Clark’s daughter passing away who “left a legacy of helping people who were disadvantaged in some manner.”

Visitation has been set for Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Glenn Funeral Home. Another visitation followed by Mass has been set for Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m..

On Facebook, officials with Dream Riders of Kentucky shared the following message regarding Clark’s passing:

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts, we share the passing of our cherished founder and the soul of Dream Riders of Kentucky, Mike Clark. Mike was a kind man with a servant’s heart, always wanting to help others, and bring happiness to those around him. In 2004, he envisioned an organization to honor his daughter Megan, focusing on horses to aid those with special needs, which grew into what we know as Dream Riders of Kentucky. Over the years, nothing brought Mike more joy than visiting the barn, spending time with the horses, taking Peanut, his favorite Dream Riders horse, for a carriage ride, or witnessing the smiles of children who felt invincible on horseback. His thoughtful actions and selfless deeds have touched countless lives in our community, and his profound impact will be felt for years to come. Rest in peace, Mike. We will miss you dearly.
