Approach closure planned for SR 62 and U.S. 41 in Vanderburgh Co.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced an approach closure at the intersection of State Road 62, also known as Morgan Avenue, and U.S. 41 in Vanderburgh County.

INDOT says beginning on or around September 3, crews will close the east approach of State Road 62, also known as Morgan Avenue, to U.S. 41 in Evansville. This closure will occur at the intersection of U.S. 41 and State Road 62, impacting both east and west bound traffic on the east side of the intersection.

Officials say this approach closure will allow for a complete reconstruction of the east side approach. Work is expected to last through October, depending on the weather. Motorists are asked to utilize Diamond Avenue/State Road 66 as the detour for this closure. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
