Wayne Anderson of the Village of Tamarind Grove has become well known thanks to his four-year legal battle to keep the little white cross on display at his home. A 20-year-old and 21-year-old were found guilty of murdering Central Florida 19-year-old David Bartholomew Lyons. This month, jurors delivered their verdict in the 2020 murder case of 19-year-old David Bartholomew Lyons. After a brief deliberation, reviewing compelling evidence and expert testimony, jurors found both 20-year-old Javarre Latrell Johnson and 21-year-old Ba’Karri Juan’Ya Williams guilty of First-Degree Murder. Johnson and Williams were also found guilty of one count of Armed Robbery, and one count of Possession of Cannabis.
Central Florida Man Sentenced for Threatening to Kill Federal Prosecutor
A Central Florida man has been sentenced to additional prison time for threatening to kill a federal prosecutor and lunging at her in the courtroom. Senior United States District Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell has sentenced 33-year-old Dempsey Emmanuel Gilmore, of Tampa, to six years and five months in federal prison for threatening to kill an Assistant United States Attorney.

Ellianos Coffee has identified its 11th and 12th sites in Northeast Florida. With eight drive-thru kiosks open and two more coming soon, Ellianos is now working on a site at southwest 103rd Street and Brannon Avenue in West Jacksonville, west of Interstate 295, and another along Atlantic Boulevard in the Regency area of Arlington.
