WEIRTON, W.Va. (WTRF) — At a time of life when everyone is searching for where they belong, a new group in Weirton is calling them home.

The faith-based youth organization Club 3:16 is inviting children and young adults for an afternoon of both fun and spiritual reflection.

The Kids Fun Fest will run from 1 until 4 tomorrow at the Weirton Event Center.

Bounce houses, dunk tanks and games will be mixed with praise and worship and religious testimony, helping kids find a friend group they never knew about.

The group began just this past year with a small group of high schoolers, meeting at the home of Patti and Joe Barnabei.

“We have kids that are in the band. We have kids that are in sports or cheering, or they may not do anything at all, but it makes them feel important. It makes them feel like a part of. And I think that’s the main importance of Club 3:16, of not feeling alone.”

Patti Barnabei, Founder, Club 3:16 and Never Alone West Virginia

Club 3:16 is a branch of Never Alone West Virginia, a drug-free group also started by Patti.

She says many members belong to different denominations, but for all of them, the center of the group is God.
