After two years, Chasidy Decker’s tiny home lawsuit against the city of Meridian has come to a close. 24-year-old Lewiston man arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old
LEWISTON, Idaho – A 24-year-old man from Lewiston was arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old child. According to the Lewiston Police Department, detectives were called to a house in Lewiston on the evening of July 23 when a family member of the child walked in and reportedly saw the suspect identified Dakota Hall, 24 allegedly raping the child. Police subsequently interviewed the witness, the child victim and the suspect. Both the child and the witness stated that the man had engaged in lewd conduct.

Kootenai County firefighters lend a hand with Oregon wildfire
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — On Saturday night, the state of Oregon requested the state of Idaho send firefighters to help with the Durkee Fire in eastern Oregon. By 5 a.m. Sunday, volunteers from Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, Timberlake Fire Protection District and Hauser Lake Fire Protection District and Worley Fire District mobilized to lend their assistance with battling the blaze. Each North Idaho department sent two firefighters and a brush truck to fulfil the request.

JaMisha Nevarez, 47, locally known as Misha Nuamann-Davis, formerly the CEO at the Senior Hospital Center, is facing a felony charge for alleged threats against the city prosecutor, Andrakay Pluid.

BLACKFOOT — Firefighters extinguished a brush fire that ignited along Interstate 15 south of Blackfoot on Wednesday. The blaze along Interstate 15's southbound lanes was reported around 4 p.m. and contributed to significant traffic congestion on the freeway. New mocktail bar brings active night life to downtown Rexburg
