Brock Thompson, Liberty, senior, SS/P: Committed to play at Oklahoma State, the South Yosemite River League player of the year hit .402 with 10 home runs, 38 RBIs, 45 runs scored and 22 stolen bases as the team’s shortstop. He hit a game-tying three-run home run in the seventh inning against Moorpark in the SoCal Regional D-2 title game. He also had a 2.55 ERA in 12 appearances on the mound, with three saves, including one in the Central Section championship game against Clovis West.
