Illinois Football Committed to a Balanced Offensive Attack
During his fall camp opening presser (7/29), OC Barry Lunney Jr. stated that Illinois Football will be committed to a balanced offensive attack during 2024. Throughout last season, major injuries struck the Illinois Football starters early and often. Certainly, no position was more severely affected than the running backs unit. Aidan Laughery, Josh McCray, Reggie Love III, Kaden Feagin, and Jordan Anderson each faced separate setbacks, derived from injuries, during 2023. Freshman Jordan Anderson suffered a season-ending ACL tear, while RS-Sophomore Josh McCray cut his season short only 5 games in, due to a neck injury.
Another council member announces their bid for Normal mayor
NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) — The race to be the next mayor of the Town of Normal just got a bit crowded after a third candidate announced their bid on Monday. According to a press release, Normal Councilwoman Kathleen Lorenz said that she is now in the running to be the next mayor of Normal.
Champaign County African American Heritage Trail adding two more signs
There are a couple of additional signs being installed to commemorate and celebrate the Champaign County African American Heritage Trail on Tuesday, July 30th. As Experience Champaign-Urbana has pointed out today, one will be installed at Main and Freemont Streets in Downtown Champaign, and another outside of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Urbana.

URBANA - Over 40 artists are expected to display their artwork and wares at the 6th Annual Crystal Lake Park Art Fair this Saturday and Sunday.
