    Meet the members of the Daily News Girls Outdoor Track & Field All-Star team for 2024

    After combing over statistics and results, and with the guidance of local athletic directors and coaches, we at the Daily News selected All-Stars for baseball, softball, boys and girls lacrosse , boys and girls tennis, boys and girls track and field, boys volleyball and rugby.

    Although the sports and skill sets may vary, there’s no denying that this group put up otherworldly numbers this spring while helping their respective teams find success – whether that be on the diamond, field, court or track.

    Without further ado, the Daily News presents its 2024 All-Stars for girls outdoor track & field:

    Haley Bilodeau, Blackstone Valley Tech

    The junior set a Division 3 meet record in the 400-meter hurdles and captured the divisional title in 1 minute, 4.3 seconds. She also won a vocational state title in the same event and was second at the District E championships and fifth at the Meet of Champions.

    Alice Brambati, Hopkinton

    The senior won the Division 2 championship in the triple jump at 36 feet, one inch. She also placed third in the long jump (17-3.5) and fourth in the 100 hurdles (15.86).

    Annie Comella, Wellesley

    The junior won the Division 1 100-meter dash in 12.23 seconds and the 200 in 24.88. She added a silver in the long jump (18 feet, 4.5 inches). She found the podium at the Meet of Champions in the long jump (18-1.25).

    Lily Deforge, Franklin

    The Holy Cross-bound senior threw anything and everything well. She won the discus at the Division 1 state championships and took third in the shot put. Deforge also was second at the Meet of Champions in the discus. She medaled at the Hockomock Championships in the shot put (first) and discus (second), and compete in the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in both events. Deforge holds the school records in both the discus (134-0) and shot put (41-3).

    The Holy Cross-bound senior sprinted to a Division 1 gold medal in the 100-meter dash in 11.93 seconds. She took third in the 200 at the Meet of Champions (24.6) and anchored the Flyers winning 4x400 relay (3:54.44).

    The Hockomock MVP is a four-time All-American after finishing third in the New Balance Outdoor Nationals Heptathlon. The Penn-bound senior also won the MIAA Meet of Champions 100 hurdles in a meet-record 14.27 seconds after taking gold in the Division 1 pentathlon, 400 hurdles (1:03.26) and 100 hurdles (14.29). Dumas holds the Panthers school record in the pentathlon and heptathlon.

    Emmanuella Edozien, Natick

    The sophomore set the MSTCA Freshman/Sophomore meet record in the 100-meter hurdles 14.71 seconds then notched the Redhawks school record at 14.53. She took second in the D1 100 hurdles (14.53) and was third in the 100 dash (12.38). Edozien competed in the New Balance Outdoor Nationals. “There is no one else I have coached that can pick up an event so easily.  Emmi has this natural ability to take on a new event and master it almost immediately,” Natick coach Tori Zamara-Dixon said. “This girl has a bright track future ahead of her.”

    Savannah Gao, Hudson

    The Boston University-bound senior was the Division 5 runner up in both the javelin (119-08) and discus (118-07). The Mid-Wach C all-star is a three-time league champion in javelin and added one in the discus this spring. Gao furthered her own school record in javelin at 133-2, two feet over previous record.

    Elizabeth Hopkins, Franklin

    The Panthers best javelin thrower ever holds the school record at 139-6. She won the Division 1 championship (137-2) and took third at the Meet of Champions. Hopkins qualified for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals and took home titles at the Hockomock league meet and MSTCA Twilight meet. She’ll compete at UMass next season.

    Josie Hopkins, Hopkinton

    She won the Division 2 pentathlon and was third in the 100 hurdles (15.67). Hopkins took eight in the Meet of Champions pentathlon. She added a 400 hurdles championship at the TVL showcase and competed on the Hillers' second-place 4x100 relay. She contributed to three medal-winning squads at the MSTCA Division 2 relays.

    Charity Johnson, Medway

    She broke two Mustangs school records as a senior. She won the Division 5 discus with a meet record throw of 130 feet. Her best of the year was 132-9. The previous record was set 45 years ago. In the shot put, Johnson captured a D5 title at 38 feet. She competed at the Meet of Champions (fourth in discus) and New England Championships (third in discus, 11 th in shot put). Johnson was a TVL All-Star and Medway’s field MVP.

    Olivia LaBelle, Algonquin

    She captured a silver medal at the Meet of Champions in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 14.67 seconds. Labelle also helped the Titans win the championship in the 4x100 relay. Those followed gold medals at the Division 2 meet in the 100 hurdles (14.57) and 4x100 (48.86). LaBelle also finished second in the 400 hurdles (1:04.12).

    Sasha Lamakina, Framingham

    The sophomore captured a silver medal in the 800 at the Meet of Champions in 2:12.94. Lamakina also contributed to the Flyers’ winning 4x400 relay. She also reached the podium twice at the Division 1 meet, taking fourth in the 400 (58.23) and sixth in the 800 (2:16.25).

    Gabrielle Pierre, Lincoln-Sudbury

    She capped a star-making junior season with a New Balance Outdoor national championship in the triple jump at 42 feet, 2 1/4 inches. She also placed 10th in the long jump at New Balance Nationals, clearing 19-6.25. Pierre captured the all-state title (40-1) and Division 1 championship in the triple jump, setting the nation's No. 2 mark at 43-0. That also set a state record. She additionally won the long jump at all-states (19-7.75) and was seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.

    Charlotte Tuxbury, Wellesley

    The junior crossed the line second in the mile at the Meet of Champions (4:51.13) and was fourth in the 800 (2:13.22). She also led off Wellesley’s second-place 4x800 relay (9:12.71). Tuxbury set the Division 2 meet record in the mile, winning in 4:54.56. She also added a title in the two-mile (11:08.08) and led off the first-place 4x8 (9:30.49).

    Katelyn Winchester, Westborough

    She soared above the pack in the pole vault. The senior won the Division 3 state title (10 feet, 7 inches) and the Mid-Watch A championship then finished sixth in the Meet of Champions. “Katelyn was a standout performer as both an athlete and a leader. She went above and beyond to drive her teammates to be better,” Westborough coach Matt Wilson said.
