Thief steals thousands of dollars in collectibles from local hobby store
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The owners of Arena Hobbies and For the XP rushed into work Friday morning after learning someone had broken into their store. In security footage from that morning, you can see after smashing through the front door the thief immediately runs behind the store counter swiping everything in the display case, trying to get into the cash register and leaving as quick as they can with an estimated ten thousand dollars in trading cards.
Grace United Methodist Church hosts successful Kicks 4 Kids shoe giveaway
Grace United Methodist Church held its annual Kicks 4 Kids shoe giveaway Saturday, bringing much-needed footwear and other essential services to local children. "About seven years ago, a youth group of junior high and high school students recognized a need in their schools," said organizer Russ Conrade. "Some kids couldn't participate in gym or PE because they didn't have the proper shoes, or any decent shoes at all. It started as a way to help them and has just grown from there. It’s an opportunity to reach out and share a little bit of God's love with those around us."
