CAP Tulsa: More than Daycare
The 4-year-old boy had never been to preschool before. When he first set foot into the classroom, he was nervous. He was also nonverbal and needed individualized attention. Bartlesville Man Held on $2 Million Bond
A Bartlesville is held over on a $2 million bond after facing new charges. 45-year-old Thomas Conway was arrested earlier this month on charges related to the death of Alex Daughtery. That case remains under investigation, but Conway now faces new charges related to a search warrant that was executed during the course of that investigation. While police were searching Conway's residence, they found a white liquid that tested positive for cocaine. Officer also found other drug paraphernalia, fentanyl pills, and a loaded handgun.
Bartlesville Schools Gets New Pom Coach
Bartlesville Public Schools will have a new Pom Coach for the 2024-2025 season. Gloria Castillo has been appointed to that position. A press release states that Castillo served as an assistant pom coach last year and that Castillo has a lot of experience and knowledge that will serve well in this role.
OSUIT, Muscogee Nation celebrate GED graduates
The community recently celebrated the most class of graduates during the GED Graduation Ceremony held July 11 on the campus of OSUIT. The program, sponsored by Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology and Muscogee Nation Employment & Training Adult Learning Programs, provides a second chance for adults looking to obtain their degrees, and helping them join the workforce.

Oklahoma State gets former Missouri shortstop Drew Culbertson in the portal
Even after the MLB Draft, Oklahoma State head coach Josh Holliday isn’t done reeling in reinforcements for his team with sights on the 2025 season. Earlier this week, OSU garnered a commitment from former Missouri shortstop Drew Culbertson out of the transfer portal. Although Culbertson hasn’t publicly announced his pledge to OSU, a source close to the program has confirmed to The O’Colly of Culbertson’s commitment. He also added “OSU Baseball” to his social media bio on Instagram.
Gore Schools hire new wrestling coach
Gore has found its successor for wrestling coach Matt Hawkins, who earlier this summer took an assistant football coaching job with the Sallisaw Black Diamonds.
