Dominique, Willem's devoted owner, recalls the moment she first laid eyes on him at the rescue shelter.

Despite his disheveled appearance, their connection was instant. "I took him home, and from that moment on, we have been inseparable," she shared.

Willem's journey to his new home was far from smooth. When Dominique found him, he was in a pitiful state - cowering in a corner, covered in filth, and dominated by other cats.

"He didn't even dare to go to the litter box and was completely covered in urine and feces. He didn't wash himself, either. I felt so sad," Dominique recalled.

Determined to help her new companion, Dominique knew she had to bathe him. However, she was apprehensive about causing him stress.

Little did she know that Willem had a surprising secret - an unusual fondness for water.

Now, the roles have reversed. It's Willem who initiates shower time, meowing insistently when he feels the need for a refreshing spritz.

Dominique can't even enjoy a peaceful soak without her furry friend eagerly joining in, turning every bath into a shared adventure!

She even starting putting videos on TikTok and Willem has become an internet sensation for his unconventional morning ritual.

But Willem's aquatic obsession doesn't end at the bathroom door. Rainy days are his playground, and the balcony becomes his stage.

With childlike wonder, he spends hours frolicking in rain puddles, his whiskers twitching with joy as droplets dance around him.

Dominique often reflects on how they saved each other. Feeling lonely before Willem's arrival, she found her life suddenly awash with happiness thanks to her water-loving companion.
