Hall of Fame Mizzou baseball coach passes away at age of 83
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Mizzou Athletics announced that it is mourning the loss of former Hall of Fame head baseball coach Gene McArtor, after he died at the age of 83 on Sunday. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Gene McArtor, a true Mizzou legend," Mizzou Athletic Director Laird Veatch said in a press release. "Gene's dedication to our baseball program as a student-athlete, assistant coach and head coach, and his unwavering commitment to the University of Missouri, left an indelible mark on our program and athletics department. His leadership, integrity and passion for Mizzou as a player, coach and administrator were truly remarkable. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. Gene's legacy will forever be part of Mizzou Athletics."

St. Louis Bourbon Festival Returns Oct. 18 With Over 600 Whiskeys
Residents of the 314, rejoice; the St. Louis Bourbon Festival is returning for another year packed with live music, local culture and, of course, plenty of whiskey. On Oct. 18, the festival will touch down with a four-block layout in the neighborhood of Benton Park. Riverside police chief announces 12 percent pay increase for officers
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A pay increase for Riverside police officers began on July 1, according to the Riverside Police Department and the City of Riverside. Chief Chris Skinrood announced on Monday that the base pay increased by 12 percent from the previous year. The pay range is anywhere from $65,000 to $92,573. The increase also went out to all current officers.
