Application window opens soon for new Cumberland County affordable housing community
A little over a year ago, a Cumberland County nonprofit broke ground on an $18.1 million affordable housing project. Carlisle-based Safe Harbour broke ground on Harbour Village in 2024 on five acres of vacant land in South Middleton Township, bordering the borough of Carlisle near the Carlisle United Methodist Church on South Spring Garden Street. Harbour Village will include six residential buildings with 40 units and a community building on Harbour Village Drive.

A Wilmington man is behind bars after what State Police say was a road rage incident in Hockessin last weekend. Troopers were responding to a report of a crash at Limestone and Brackenville Roads Sunday night when they got a report of an unrelated road rage incident involving a driver displaying a handgun, Delaware State Police said.
