High School sports seasons start soon
With the calendar turning to August we are now just a few weeks away from the start of the Fall High School sports season in South Dakota. Schools competing in girls tennis can start practice this coming Monday, August 5th. 9-man and 11B football teams will start practice on August 8th, with all other schools opening practice on August 12. Boys golf practice starts August 12 as well, with cross country and Volleyball following on the 15th.

Two games tonight at Cornbelt District Tournament in Canova
The Cornbelt District tournament resumes today in Canova, with two spots to the State Tournament up for grabs. Game 1 tonight features the Flandreau Cardinals vs. the Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks, starting at 6pm on AM 1390. Flandreau won their opening round game over the Wood Ducks, before falling to Canova on Saturday.
