Woman, 4 children killed in Bibb County shooting

BIBB COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A man is under arrest after a woman and four children were shot to death in Bibb County Thursday night.

Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade said the shooting happened in the area of Greentree Drive in West Blocton roughly around 10:00 p.m.

Investigators with the sheriff’s office said 32-year-old Brandon Kendrick fatally shot a 2-year-old, two 6-year-olds, a 9-year-old and his 24-year-old wife, Kelsey Kendrick.

Brandon Kendrick is charged with five counts of capital murder in the shooting and is in police custody at this time. He is being held without bond.

Wade said two of the children killed were Kendrick’s own and the two others were relatives.
