Woman, 4 children killed in Bibb County shooting

BIBB COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A man is under arrest after a woman and four children were shot to death in Bibb County Thursday night.

Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade said the shooting happened in the area of Greentree Drive in West Blocton. The 911 call reporting the shooting came in shortly after 8:00 p.m.

The suspect, 32-year-old Brandon Kendrick, is charged with five counts of capital murder in the shooting and is in police custody at this time.

Wade said two of the children killed were Kendrick’s own and the two others were relatives. All of the children were under the age of 8.
