DECATUR — Ashley McBryde is bringing her music mixture of rock, bluegrass, country pop and country rock to North Alabama. The Princess Theatre in Decatur announced that the Arkansas-born singer will appear Nov. 8 at the art-deco building that opened as a livery stable in 1887 before re-purposed in 1919 into a silent film and vaudeville playhouse.
Arrest made in Monday deadly Alex City shooting
ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. (WSFA) - Police in Alexander City have arrested a man in connection to a deadly shooting on Monday. Authorities say 25-year-old Lavontae Parker is charged with the murder of 40-year-old Stephen Huntley.
