Fans who attended last season's Magic City Classic receive priority access to tickets
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Fans who purchased tickets to last year's Alabama State win over Alabama A&M in the McDonald's Magic City Classic will be provided the first opportunity to purchase tickets to the 2024 match-up. The early purchase period for returners is July 17 to August 8 and will be available to the general public on August 9.
Partial road closures announced near Mountain Brook to have major traffic impact
MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WBRC) - A major road into downtown Birmingham will soon be partially closed due to the Jefferson County Sanitary Project. Over the last year, the city of Jefferson County has worked to replace aged sewer lines throughout the city of Mountain Brook. The work is scheduled to continue along Memory Lane toward Montclair Road. Due to the work, the intersection will partially close Tuesday, July 23 for approximately five days.

City of Birmingham files suit against owner of property where mass shooting happened
According to documents filed late Wednesday night, the City of Birmingham has filed a petition asking to declare the property at 3427 27th Street North as a public nuisance. Documents show GW, LLC, Trendsetters Lounge and Event Center, LLP, and Mortgage Realty Inc as the owners of and/or interest holders in the property.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — TheAlabama Department of Emergency Management is investigating a large grease spill in Bessemer's Valley Creek. ADEM’s investigation found the leak came from the Birmingham Hide and Tallow facility, which is a plant that processes and recycles cooking grease from restaurants and homes across Central Alabama.
